NIOSH Publishes Proposed 2020 Hazardous Drug List and Procedures

NIOSH has published for comment the long awaited revised 2020 Hazardous Drug List along with information for managing hazardous drug exposure and the NIOSH procedures for developing the list. All are open for a 60 day comment period.
The Federal Register Notice for the Draft of the 2020 NIOSH List of Hazardous Drugs is now available. There have been several changes in response to comments made during the previous public comment period. There are 3 draft documents to comment on: 1) NIOSH List of Hazardous Drugs in Healthcare Settings, 2020; 2) Managing Hazardous Drug Exposures: Information for Healthcare Settings; and 3) NIOSH Procedures for Developing the NIOSH List of Hazardous Drugs in Healthcare Settings. There will be a 60 day public comment period and following that NIOSH will work to finalize the documents based on those comments.
